Citizens Resisting Tyranny is a grassroots organization in the Brier Creek area of Raleigh/Durham NC. We are friends and neighbors who are united by a shared commitment to defend democracy, uphold the rule of law, and protect the foundational values of our republic.
Grounded in the Indivisible framework, we seek to mobilize action at the local, state, and national levels in defense of democratic institutions, civil liberties, and truth.

Tyranny is the absence of the rule of law, where the most powerful claim to be the law, to define the law, and to enforce the law without democratic restraints.
Defying the courts.
Destroying public institutions.
Firing public officials for doing their duty under the law.
Depriving citizens of their civil rights.
Suppressing speech and protest.
Claiming unrestrained power.
